Ypre Trip 2017

Merseyside and Lancashire group returned to Ypres this year 5th-8th May.  Fourteen bikes travelled down via various routes to meet in Ypres to take part in the Last Post at the Menin Gate.   The group also visited La Coupole Rocket bunker, France which was the site where the Nazi’s manufactured and launched V2 Rockets at the UK during the war.   A really powerful museum, of particular note was the firing squad posts [photo] and the internee uniforms [photo] who were in the main jewish and Russian prisoners of war and were treated ruthlessly.
